Worship is at the core of what we do and what are about when we meet collectively as a church family. Worship is when God’s people come together to jointly say to Him, “Thank you for sending Jesus to save us.” Christians arrive prepared to exalt Him [Father, Son and Holy Spirit] for who He is, what He has done, what He has promised to do and for what He continues to do. Worship is not about us. It is about God! A by-product of genuine worship, though, is the edification and encouragement we receive from our Father and from one another. Worship is a wonderful, glorious and needed privilege. If you attend our worship services we are confident that you will come away energized, recharged and focused upon Jesus. Bill Schmitt leads this amazing ministry.
He is charged by our elders to make certain that public worship is done as described in the Bible. He organizes those who serve the Lord’s Supper, lead prayers, lead singing and teach for each worship assembly. They assemble ushers, greeters and other workers to ensure quality biblical worship. It is the goal of this ministry to create an environment for worship that aids worshippers in their approach to the Father. One special area that he administers is that of our greeters. Greeters are members that volunteer to welcome people to our assemblies as they enter the door. The greeters answer questions, provide bulletins, offer direction to classes and rooms and present visitors with guest packets. Their job is to help people to feel welcome and to prepare for worship.
